Sarah Wilder Tarot Readings

Tell all the truth but tell it slant —
Success in Circuit lies
Too bright for our infirm Delight
The Truth's superb surprise
As Lightning to the Children eased
With explanation kind
The Truth must dazzle gradually
Or every man be blind —
—Emily Dickinson

Beyond leather, Sarah Wilder loves to practice — as well as to spread — the gospel of tarot! She reads locally in Woodstock, is available for 1:1 sessions online, and runs a bimonthly tarot circle at the Woodstock Library. Over the years, Sarah has learned the power of tarot, and considers it a reflective and nuanced companion for navigating the inner and outer realms. Tarot offers guidance, insight, and support into life's most complex and vexing issues, as well as those that may seem more mundane, but likely aren't (because it's all connected!) Borrowing from the late, great Gordon White: "What is mine to do?" is an excellent question to bring to the cards, and in her practice Sarah puts such questions to the tarot, then talks through what comes up.

As she likes to say: Tarot is your soul giving your ego a hug.

What people are saying:

Sarah has keen instincts around reading the cards. Her studies in tarot are varied and her choice in learning the craft from a diverse medley of disciplines has been well thought out. Getting a reading from her will be very welcome and supportive. She has a soft approach to going deep with the messages of the cards. She has also been teaching group sessions publicly for quite some time. Her style working within a group dynamic is fun, as well as informative. She is personable and intuitive. I always enjoy her insights and perspectives within the world of tarot. -Iva Veazey, tarot reader, music therapist, mystic

Sarah is incredibly dedicated to this practice. With tarot, the details matter, and she has studied them with remarkable depth. She approaches each reading with both the insight of an academic and the intuition of a mystic. Her extensive knowledge of the many decks in her collection helps guide each session. Sarah can educate you about the cards, but also knows when to simply sit and let their message unfold. What makes her truly special is the generous, nonjudgmental connection she creates with her clients. Tarot is about the cards, but it’s also about the person getting the reading, and Sarah is keenly attuned to both. She is invested in you, your experience, and what the cards have to say. -Hallie Newton, writer

I'm very lucky to have met Sarah when I did! She is exactly what I needed to begin my transition from years of curiosity/inquiry to actual practice. Combining a vast knowledge of Western Mystery Tradition with gentle, enthusiastic encouragement, Sarah leaves one feeling that they hold all the cards! (sorry!) -Elias Ragues, musician

note: Sarah's email address, secureyourflower@gmail.com, is a nod to the RWS 6 of Cups, which is associated with her midheaven. 6C may relate to inner child work, is known as "Lord of Pleasure," and decanically connects to the Sun in Scorpio (2nd decan Scorpio: the Sun + Death.) "Secure your Flower" is a fragment directly lifted from an Emily Dickinson poem.
